Supposedly there's going a meteor shower, the Leonid Meteor Shower, happening right now.
The peak has already passed, but I'll keep looking to the skies until the stars seem to fall.
Yesterday was a wonderful day, the skies lightly painted with clouds, cool, and the sun had this comforting warmth about it. It wasn't the scorching, blinding sun that so commonly vultures over the lone star state, it was something altogether gentle. It was a pleasant surprise when I awoke from a stormy night to see a perfect day.
The semester is winding down, that most hated field methods class is graciously over, and the other classes will follow suit in four week's time, leaving me a one-month sabbatical where I'd like to expand my writing ability.
I will also be participating in DFC, a yearly poetry competition hosted by =
kiwi-damnation. If you're interested, here's the link to her journal -
[link] . It should prove interesting as well as a little exercise to get those poetic muscles working. I, for one, seem have to gotten rusty or possibly dispassioned, unfortunately, but hopefully it'll iron itself out.
OH OH OH OH
Okay, so you remember my alien drawings and that short story I posted about a month ago? Probably not. Well, anyways, me and a friend have been working on this science fiction for, well, a while. We've got stories and races and ships and plotlines and everything. It's mostly for fun, but who knows, we could end up writing a book and trying to get it published. Anyways, this is only relevant if you have an appreciation for the sci-fi genre, especially things on a diabolically massive scale (which will probably be our undoing when it comes to writing a book).
Well, we've put up a website if you're interested.
[link]It's not yet complete, but it's got some short stories, race summaries, and pictures.
Alright, it's 4:15am and time to sleep. I hope dawn brings as beautiful a day as dusk brought to a close.
